Ive been using a AYA for a long time and appreciate all the work you all have been doing to keep it going.

At this point I kind of have a hodge podge of windows from various versions I think, but awhile back I started having an issue where when I targeted a group member or my merc instead of seeing all their buffs I would only see one ..it seems to be the most recent buff.

So i just tried adding the target window and player window from this version here and the strangest thing happened. In the window where it shows your group members F2 F3 F4 and F5 were all fine but F6 was cut in half.

Any ideas what file is associated with that which I need to either edit or replace? I am assuming another file is dictating the allowed pixel sizes for it or something like that.

p.s. another way to fix the target buff thing instead would work for me too if anyone has any ideas

Just downloaded the latest version off the website and it works fine. Not sure why it is not working for you. Checked with a couple of friends using the latest version too and they are reporting that everyhting is a-ok.

hi, great UI.
Having a bit of trouble though. I cannot see what buffs other players have, I used to be able to, but one of the patches broke it for me, any ideas?

Nope that was not it, in the options menu i did not have the "allow context menu" or something like that turned on.
That was not allowing me to right click on the windows but thanks for the reply.

1) Right click on the chat bar of the window (bottom) and you will get a dropdown. Click on "new chat window" and a new window will open.

2) right click on the top righthand corner of any window. Then click "lock".

I tried installing this UI today and am having a problem with being able to create new chat windows as well as not being able to lock any of the windows. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong ?


Thanks btw I am so happy someone has been keeping this UI alive great work.

There is nothing wrong with the download. I just downloaded and installed it on my three pcs and it works fine.

the update posted will not load, it sends the ui into default.

what was changed with this update? the change log doesn't say.

When you download the UI, open the file and look for the file named EQUI_YOURNAME_SERVERNAME and rename it using your actual character and server name. Then put that file into your everquest folder (not the UI folder)

That file is preprogramed to put the placement of the UI components in their proper alignment. Alternatively, you can move all the seperate peices around manually.

i'm new to the UI stuff but i got the widows to look like they do in ur screen**** but the layout is all messed up, nothng is where it should be (bottom of screen)
what did i miss?

1) You can press the ESC key to close that window.
2) You can right click on the HOTT bar (but not on the speaker icon) to set your role in a group.

One the auto attack / assist bar there is a volume icon that when clicked on brings up the controls. Is thre away to get rid of that?

Also, where on the self target are can i click to set me role?

There is a subfolder that has different types of hotkeys. They are labled to identify them properly. Simply copy and paste the style you perfer into the downloaded AYAUI folder

Gilthanos runs this exact UI at 1900x1200. He just fills the extra space with chat windows I think. He says it works fine and as he wrote abotu 1/2 of the code, I give him the benefit of doubt. I run at 1280x1024, the resolution that is is designed for.
