I got my to work. Just open EQUI_Animation.xml, the one that comes with it, with word pad.
Now go all the way to the bottom, and just copy the compass part.
<!-- Compass art -->
<TextureInfo item = "compass.tga">
<Size>
<CX>255</CX>
<CY>255</CY>
</Size>
</TextureInfo>
<Ui2DAnimation item = "A_CompassStrip">
<Frames>
<Texture>compass.tga</Texture>
<Location>
<X>0</X>
<Y>94</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>203</CX>
<CY>94</CY>
</Size>
</Frames>
</Ui2DAnimation>
<Ui2DAnimation item = "A_CompassOverlay">
<Frames>
<Texture>compass.tga</Texture>
<Location>
<X>0</X>
<Y>0</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>203</CX>
<CY>94</CY>
</Size>
</Frames>
</Ui2DAnimation>
Now, go to EQ UI folder, uifiles. Then open the same file. Remove the old compass info, and put this version in. Then hit save.
Only install 2 files, the compass.tga and EQUI_Compasswnd.xml, copy and paste to uifiles.
Do not install EQUI_Animation.xml.
It should work now. Enjoy.
