Calael Ressurection remains a very "patch resistant" UI designed for 1280x1024 resolution with an optional /viewport 0 0 1143 840 setting.
Fully compatable with the default EQUI_Animations.xml file. If there is a patch that changes that file, just delete the custom one and you're ready to play!
The zip file contains instalation instructions and a copy of a .ini file that can be used to insure the windows line up correctly. The UI is primarily designed to be mouse user friendly, and for any class.
The hotbutton window has a tabbed section that gives full access to all inventory and armor locations.
The group window has large clickable areas for targeting self and group members. A pet lifebar will pop up under its owners lifebar if a group member summons a pet. The pet life bar is clickable to target the pet.
Since I used the player window to make the target window, I used the target window to make 2 tabs showing player stats on one tab page and player information on the other tab page.
The stats page displays full character stats and resists. The Player page shows Exp and AA exp gauges and %, as well as % allocated to AA, unspent AA points, encumberance level and character name/class/level/title.
The buff and song windows are compact with small icons, buff names, custom icon backgrounds and numbered buff slots. This version supports 21 buff slots, and 8 song slots.
The "target" bar is very long and has 10 sections to it. There is a casting gauge under the target lifebar that also has 10 sections to it. I find it usefull for heal timing.
The "target" window is made from the player window, so it will have a flashing red outline around the target and casting gauges when attack is on. There is also a 60 second timer as part of the window.
The inventory window is very compact and has no stats in it. The autoequip area is the class animation. Utilizes different icon for DON crystals than currency.
Containers have the primary, secondary, ranged and ammo slots in them.
Custom Pet Window is slim and made for the top of the window.
Caster/Priest options window also displays tribute ticker, costs, and pool. Hybrid Combat Skills window displays 4 disciplines.
The chat window contains the template for its custom borders, as well as the templates for the borders for all other windows in the UI. All custom graphics animations used in the UI are defined in the xml code for the chat window.
The UI is fully compatable with the default EQUI_Animations.xml file. The custom one included with the UI is for the custom buff icon backgrounds. If a patch makes changes to the EQUI_Animations.xml file, you can just delete the custom one and the game will use the default backgrounds.
April 25, 2005 -- There are currently XML warnings that can be ignored for the time being. I will correct these in a near-future release.
May 11, 2005 -- Patched to be compatible with Animations changes in today's patch
June 19, 2005 -- Customized Health of Target's Target window, replaced Journal button with Email button on Window Selector bar, added Group Leadership xp gauge to Player tab

AWSOME UI
I love it, thanks for making a great UI. Please keep it going because I doubt I will ever want a different one.

I'm working on a melee version with an 8-slot combat window.
Changes in the works for next release:
-- email button substituted for journal button on selector window
-- visible group leadership AA bar
-- improved pet window
-- more fetching HoTT window appearance

I've been using this UI for years and I am happy you decided to update it.
Personally, I do not want my target and HoTT in one window. I like them separate.
Might be nice to have the potion belt up all the time as well instead of closing everytime you zone.

The target bar/spell bar combo are parts of what I consider to be integral to the design of the UI, so don't expect that to be changed anytime in the future. :-)
HoTT is being worked on. Summer is a busy time for me!

First off, thank you sooo much for resurrecting the Caleal ui's, I have been hooked on them for years.
However, one of my machines only has a max resolution of 1024 x 768. Is there any way that this could be modified to fit that res?

Updating and chat windows
How exactly do I update the UI? Do I delete old or just write over or what?
The UI is excellent other than windows (chat) windows pop on top of each other and prove somewhat difficult to move... The only thing I miss of the default UI is the drag bar at op of chat windows to move them... (I put all my tells to seperate windows, so the current drag of resizing the window to a different location is hard when I want a few of them up)... this is a factor on all chat windows too... I set a raid window and have to resize it to move rather than the simple click the top and drag like the other windows this UI offers

I am really pleased with this UI, After the patch I keep getting the XML error pop up when I log in... is there an update for that ? Also one small problem... as i took a faily extended break from EQ I am finding that using the maps does help me, there is the problem could you make the map movable ?? it sits there right in the middle of the screen and I would like to be able to drag it anywhere else on the screen and still be able to use it. Thanks
