I have been using the old UI, the orginal one from first expansion, and from the looks of the picture this UI will convert the new UI to the old look. I have tried now, using this UI, but am having problems getting it to work. I follow all the directions, place this UI in its own folder, and then add my old UI to this folder, and making sure not to have the animations file overwrite this one. But every time I get intot he game and load this UI, it is showing up as the new UI for this patch. Maybe someone can give me some advice on how to fix this, since I hate the New UI and am trying to stick with the orgiinal UI.

my problem with this is that i can not camp out.

when i camp out, and it goes to char select screen, the screen just goes to a blank gray screen then crashes. so i can not change characters.

I love the old UI and this works great but has 2 problems:

1) if I have other windows open in the background, it tries to switch doesnt surrender control back to EQ - I have to alt-tab to re-select EQ. This is not a huge issue, just annoying. I read a post below that has the same issue.

2) I cannot right click on spells in my spellbook to bring up the description of the spell (level, mana, cast time, etc) like in the default or old default UIs.

Any thoughts?

my game has been majorly HOSED since SS released basicly
this UI is working perfectly mind you
but haven't had maps and this UI didnt fix them. i have maps in my map folder... /confused

The new default UI is completely useless (especially the spell icons, which are extremely small and terribly designed). I've worked on a version of this myself, but had trouble with things like viewing TSS AAs.

I was able to make it work after the patch. I did a few things but it seemed by adding this code below was the difference to the EQUI_Animations.xml file.

I posted the update into this file for my friend Haliken as I was told from his guild on my server he has been off for a few weeks. He has helped me MANY times.

I hope he understands I only did this out of the kindness of my heart.

I can not find an area to put EQUI_Animations TBS updates on this site.

I really appreciate the support SmileyFAAce_, I had some computer issues a month ago that I've only recently resolved so I only just logged in yesterday! I'll get this file updated tomorrow afternoon along with my primary Sleek UI.

You've saved people a lot of headache by getting this updated before I showed back up, and who knows how long I could've potentially taken. I've been doing a lot of graphics work recently so plan to whip up an old UI style item slot for the new Power Sources as well.

P.S. - I'm not sure what happened to the option to attach patches or mods to this UI... I'll figure that out tomorrow while I'm waist deep in updating UIs.

It doesn't need to be. The patch today (May 16th) didn't break this UI. I've already tested in game.

I haven't played since March 07, after TSS but before TBS. I have been using this UI. Today I logged on and most of the UI was the same, but the new item description window was there. If I get the newest version of this UI, will the old item boxes be used?

Another question on this UI: Since coming back to EQ, I now find that holding my mouse over a spell gem, buff icon, or item does not pop up a label as it used to do. If I get the newest version of this UI, will it fix that also?
