Myxiplx's Tiny UI (800x600 Upwards)
Updated for SoD
This is the latest version of a modification of my standard UI for a couple of friends who run 1024x768. Previously called "Myxiplx's Hybrid UI". There's been a lot of work getting the toolbars and other windows as small as possible. It turns out you can fit quite a lot in when you try
If there's anything you think I've missed, or that you want adding to this UI, please let me know in my UI thread
Note: You may need to customise your hotkeys to get the most out of this, please read the notes below.
Main Features and benefits- Wide, clear viewing area
Can also use "/viewport 0 0 800 510" to improve framerates - Player health integrated into group window.
Easier to focus on yourself and group at the same time - Full SoD role, and voice support in group window.
See here for details. - Colour changing HP bars in group window.
Click here for a screenshot with details. - Larger icons for main spells and hotkey bank.
- Target window has HOTT, casting timer and buffs built in
(Cast timer in particular allows clerics to see at a glance if CH will hit in time) - EQ button made into armour clicky / stats tool
again, next to group window for ease of access - Tiny map, with two background colours
Other Features- Main hotkey bar has integrated mana bar.
- Tiny custom player window since most features now elsewhere
Has guild and personal tribute timers, plus HP's and AC - All 4 hotbutton windows on screen
- Choice of buff windows. Compact icon only version, or full name version.
- Custom 4 slot discipline bar
- Big expanded bank window (no more digging through your bags)
Setting up this UI
Transparency
I recommend setting any on screen windows to 65%, with on screen chat windows at 80%. That gives you a decent visible area, without making things unusable.
Hotbuttons- shrunk to take up the absolute minimum space
- split into two groups of 5, much easier to see button positions at a glance without needing numbered labels
- custom page up/down buttons
- Load/Save functionality enabled by a transparent button over the top of the page number
General usage tips- Once the hotbuttons are in position, lock the window. This makes it much easier to use the up/down controls
- For features with long names, create your own macro commands with shorter names. eg:
Instead of the AA "Radiant Cure", create a macro called "R Cure" using the command "/alt act 153"
Instead of "Lesson of the Devoted", call it "LOTD" using "/alt act 481" - Since the names are short, colour code your buttons. I try to match the colours with the effect of the button:
Blue - Group. INC messages, group buffs, anything that affects or announced to the group
Green - Raid. INC messages, warnings, etc...
Red - Mob. Anything that attacks or affects a mob
White - General - If you like open inventory mods, try my bandolier. It's a little large to include by default, but I think it would still just about fit:

Re: does it work?
I sure hope it does I've not had anyone tell me it's broken, but if you do find any problems just let me know and I'll fix them as soon as I can.
Incidentally, if anybody else has questions, please don't ask questions here (it's pure luck if I happen to notice a question here - I get no notification of them). Instead use this thread and mention which piece you are asking about :
Please ask all questions on this thread:
