Category: FunctionalRueUI Glass for Agnarr |
UI features:
See through windows.
Pet gauges with pet names for all group members.
Redesigned gauges.
Larger text on most windows
Rev 2 changes:
Updated to work with Sept 20, 2017 patch
Install notes:
This UI was designed for the Agnarr server. It should work fine for other servers as well, but i have not tested it there.
place the unzipped folder in your everquest/UI directory.
set normal/faded transparency(alpha) to 100 on all windows.
If you see a black background on a window, right click and select window>background>texture.
On the pet window you may have to right click on the pet target gauge to set the texture (I'm not sure why)
-Celtic Dragon targeting ring made by IcessEQ updated with indicators from the Ivy targeting ring, made by Valaury3169.
-Buff backgrounds are from an old Geddine mod.
-Class icons are from the T.King/Drakah UI.

RueUI Glass
I like the UI with one exception: Can't read the general chat text due to color of chat against transparent background. I tried changing the color unsuccessfully.

I'll add an option for an opaque/fadeable or semi transparent chat window background.

I went to create a non transparent chat window, and realized that I didn't really need to.
Just delete my chat window from your custom folder and you will have an opaque/fadeable chat window that still uses my borders.
If it is just the general chat you are having a problem with, the colour can be changed by going to options/chat, and selecting 'Universal Chat' from the drop down window.

Yes, it's just general chat and I will try your solutions. Thanks

pieces too big
I love the UI. However I use 1366x768 (laptop)and some of the pieces seem huge ( i.e group window ). Is there anyway I can adjust the size to make certain pieces smaller?

Re: pieces too big
Unfortunately there is no quick way to scale this UI down. All of the XML and the graphics would need to be redone to make it look right.
I've been looking for a new UI project so one designed for smaller resolutions might be a good idea.
Check back here in a week and i should have a beta version posted.
(note, the graphic/gauge style will be likely be a bit simpler as the above UI took a lot of time to make)
