Category: Patches & AddonsD3PDA - Preview Version July 7, 2022 - Deprecated |
This file is a Patch for D3PDA UI by shillingworth. You must have that installed before this Patch will work. |
DEPRECATED: This patch is no longer needed, changes were merged into the UI itself and a lot of adjustments were made along the way to make it nicer.
This is a preview release of changes to the UI. Preview release since artistically it looks good with the new gauges and techniques but no actual usage testing yet beyond rudimentary checking if things were present.

KNOWN BUG: Setting your own combat role seems to be kind of glitchy with the way the player window is currently done. Playing with it to figure out what specific object on the screen gets the context menu for selecting that. Thought it was player name or hp gauge but was wrong about that as both are large enough to be easily clickable.

After a quick PL session to get my Bard up to a level that could gain XP with my main and Shaman. It's working well so far. The only thing that doesn't work is making the shadows of the percentages disappear since the SceneID for that piece can only be used once and attempting to apply it to a container element type fails outright. Overall liking the new gauge layout despite the technique's shortcomings, the floating black blotches help locate where the gauges will appear. I do need to create some shorter gauge segments to solve weird scaling on the gauge slant.
The one thing that is rather different feeling is the outlined percentages and target names. Having them stand out so much despite everything else around it really makes them pop right out at ya. I don't consider myself very good at boxing, maybe two-boxing I'm passable but three-boxing while actively stunning and maintaining agro on my Paladin, actively dotting and nuking on my Shaman, and attacking on the Bard. I was holding down a much larger footprint in the spot I had been soloing previously, an entire floor of undead in Chapterhouse. Having everything pop just made it that much easier to tell what was going on.
