Description
Clarra's UI (compatible with 05/11/05 patch)

I started with files from various authors (including Zeremus' color changing health bars, Lodidodi's target rings, Drakkah's window borders, Vert's button graphics, Solaria’s buff window, Leandred’s mp3 player, and a couple others) and modified the coding substantially in most files.

Goodies
  • Color-changing Health Bars (green to yellow to red)
  • Cool Music Player
  • Small Casting Bar
  • LodiDodi Target Rings
  • Tabbed Pet Window
  • Small Item Display Window
  • Slim Horizontal Combat Ability Window
  • Buff Window with 21 visible buffs

Some technical info
  • Con window is actually the TargetWindow.
  • Target window is actually the PlayerWindow.
  • Player info is included in the GroupWindow, while the LFG, Invite, and Disband buttons are excluded.
  • In the Hotbuttons window, you can edit the inventory slots that are included by looking at the coding for the slot you want in the Inventory window.
  • If you look at UIErrors.txt, you will see the following error: "Error: Could not find child A_AttackIndicatorAnim in window PlayerWindow". This is on purpose, and has no effect on the UI; you won't even see an in-game warning about it.
  • The EQUI.xml file calls the default EQUI.xml file, so there is no need to update this file unless you are getting rid of the mp3 player.
  • This is pretty much a plug-and-play UI. I didn't mess with the EQUI_Animations file at all, so if you don't like a window, you can delete that window and replace it with one you like.
  • This UI looks best with Franklin Gothic font.
  • You can auto-equip anywhere in the Inventory window.
  • DoN/OoW Compatible

Alternate Pieces (shown in the second and third and fourth screenshots and located in the Alternate Pieces folder)
  • The original Buff Window from previous versions of this UI.
  • Pet Info Window that includes the standard buttons and a small buff area.
  • Pet Info Window that does not include the standard buttons & has a larger buff area.
  • Window_Pieces01.tga files for the borders and gauges shown in second and fourth screenshots
  • Vertical Combat Ability Window
  • Email Notifier Selector Window (discontinued in main version, this version doesn’t contain May changes)

P.S. It's simple on purpose. I used to have a really graphic-intensive UI, but it got hard to see what I really needed to see, and sometimes caused extra lag. So, now it's as minimal as possible while still letting me see everything I need to.

Any chance you can seperate all of the pieces if/when you have a chance? i.e. I love the HoTT bar you made and can usually figure out what part and what all files I need to use seperately, but it is always a pita. So for those of us that are challenged in regards to computer work it would be great to be able to go either to the portion of EQInterface with the seperate windows, or wherever to access the pieces we want to use...

Not Updating - Anyone want to take it over?

I'm sorry to say that I will not be updating my UI at this time. I'm unable to play at all these days, and don't know when that will change.

If anyone wants to post an update, please feel free to do so.

Great UI, i tried changing the hotbutton inventory chest to legs ( mage Mrod clicky ) but was unable to ( doesnt know much about UIs makeup ), help? hehe thxs and once again great job

Make sure you have it in a folder in the uifiles folder (default folder name in the zip file is mod) and load it. Make sure you don't have the downloaded folder inside another folder:

correct = \\everquest\uifiles\mod\

incorrect = \\everquest\uifiles\mod\mod\

I can't get this UI to load I've downloaded it same as other UI's and everytime it just loads the default.. Any ideas?

Aye! It's a wonderful UI - and basic UI for modded UIs for my toons. One can easily implement other windows (like castspell window with labels, vertical buff/songwindows, smaller combat window and so on) around those really cute and informative hotkey, group and target ones.
And with changed windowpieces##.tga "your" UI looks like :

i took out the buttons to accept group invites, since it's so much easier to just hit ctrl-i and it gave me more space to play with.

if you don't like the small item display window, just delete EQUI_ItemDisplay.xml. just use what you like and discard what you don't.
