Updated for House of Thule !

This is a full UI revamp based on the old Xymarras UI designed for a 1680x1050 window. The 3D rendering area is only minimally obscured by the UI panes, so the full world will be visible.

The windows are blue slate with gold borders by default, but the colors can be changed with skins. Many buttons that duplicate the functionality of keystrokes or /commands were removed to reduce clutter. Title bars have been removed from some windows. Buttons that do have to be pressed, such as Destroy in inventory, and Yes/No in the confirmation box have been made larger.

Target health bar, group health bars, and pet status are grouped in the player status window in the bottom center of the screen. The target bar and player health and mana bars are larger than the other gauges. The casting bar is the same size as the target bar and appears directly below it.

Only 10 of the 12 spell gems are visible on screen but we are working on a way to fit them and all the bags on the window. The two non-visible gems can be loaded by temporarily loading the default and saving the spell set (which can be reloaded at any time from within Talmouse). I personally use gems 11 & 12 for two spells I keep in all sets thereby eliminating the need to load default to make new spell sets.

Since I tend not to have hot button sets 2-4 displayed on screen so, we have not yet reworked them. I hope to have them included in the HoT update this October (if not available sooner).

Stats and resists are not in the inventory window but, have been given their own panel at the lower right corner. Stats are labeled with icons for their buffs instead of with strings. XP bars and character name are in the upper right panel. There is now a small inventory strip above the main chat window which also includes your EQ button.

To accommodate all buffs and even future increases, the buff window has been made scrollable via the wheel on your mouse. This was done so the buffs and their icons could remain the current larger, more readable size.

Stat icons and spell book artwork are from T. King. The background skins are my own, created in paintshop pro. The rest of the original artwork is Xymarras.

The spell icons pictured in the screen shots are T. King's icons, modified by athrael to have transparent backgrounds.

I have done what I could to maintain this UI over the years and certainly enjoyed making different skins for it. However, recent major changes and of course upcoming HoT expansion have truly sundered this UI. Therefore it is with great pleasure I am posting this complete rework of the Xymarras UI.

All the major rework has been done by Keesi who will continue to code updates when SoE breaks things. He is currently working on coding all the HoT required changes so it can be uploaded on expansion release. To all of us who will be using this update of the old Xymarras UI we owe Keesi a HUGE debt of gratitude for all his effort.

Does not appear to be working as of 2-28-11

Does anyone have this UI working? I love the design, but it crashes back to the default UI every time I load it.

The thick yellow line under the mana bar is the endurance indicator. I play both melee and hybrid classes so I understand the necessity for both. Tho not as prominent as the mana bar it is there and fully functional.

The group role icons at this time only show for self and are located above the combat state in the lower right window. They are quite small so if you did not know their location you could easily miss them.

At this time we are trying to fit in the mana & End bars for the rest of the group, as well as role. There are a number of functions that sill need to be incorporated but only so much was possible in the time available.

There is the further complication of deciding what may have to be sacrificed to keep as much of the original look and feel as possible. This renovation was undertaken primarily as a personal project so that I would not have to give up my UI due to all the recient UI changes made by SoE. We will however try to incorporate as many features as possible as time allows.

This version was optimized for 1680 x 1050. The correct numbers are stated here in the description but I overlooked changing the readme. I will correct that error in the readme next update.

Best resolution for this UI is 1050 y axis, not 1200. Also missing are mana / endurance bars on the group window for member 2-6, and puller / tank / assist icons. Last (and actually least in my particular case) no endurance display on player. (I'm a bard and hubby plays a pally...both classes have mana AND endurance.)

Your readme file says that this UI is designed for a 1280 x 1024 resolution, but that is INCORRECT. For the windows to fit the way they do in your preview picture, you must have at least a 1600 x 1200 resolution. It's not as big a deal on the x-axis, but the y-axis simply does not fit.

It was indeed updated unless I loaded the incorrect file in error. Will download this copy and check and make the necessary changes as required.

not updated

Unfortunately this UI is not updated for HoT.........I tried loading it several times, but according to the UIerrors log it is missing several files and has a too many undelared assignments.......I used this UI years ago when Xymarra was still playing.....would love to see it up and running again.
