Sorry but i will not be updating OrtinUI anymore. i have no way to check and test OrtinUI anymore. so its time to move on. its been a fun run and i have a great time making and keeping my UI up and running ok again this UI is base off of Vanje ui, Thomus spell book, Leo_ICE graphics.Etasi's spell icons and a little coding from me. Works with all Everquest expansions this now works with the May 29 patch NEW Etasi's spell icons v1 NEW Ortin Red UI New video modes 1024 x 768 1152 x 864 1280 x 1024 mods hotkey buttons( numbers now added) spell book spell buff and spell icons player info window group window target window inventory window pet window compass Ortin Blue UI Ortin Red UI All Ortin UI files can be downloaded from here |

I like how it has the FKey # on the left of the group window, just a nice visual cue there, well done. |
I like the main setup but I hate Large Inventory box. Them dam things keep getting in the way of the mod rods hehe.

Large Target
I especially like the looks of the large target window.. any chance I can get *just* that ? Or can you tell me if I d/l the whole pkg which files to cut and paste instead?

Love the color scheme, spellbook, and the buttons. However, is it possible to
1) use back the old spell gems? As playing in internet cafe sometimes, it's real confusing to remember 2 sets of spell gems. 2) use a buff window that has smaller spell gems but with the name next to them? Really helps when you see a buff blinking and no need to wonder what that is. Good for knowing dots from mobs too. 3) use the original vertical spell bar? Ortin's spell bar saves a lot of space, but for someone who still relys on clicking the spell gem to cast spells instead of keyboard, Ortin's gems seems kinda small. |
1) for spells gems and spell icons delete
gemicons01.tga gemicons02.tga spells01.tga spells02.tga spells03.tga spells04.tga spells05.tga out of ortin directory, eq will use the default files from the default directory now. 2) working on this now 3) looking at making gems abit bigger but as for making them vertical, i have to do alot of recoding |
Im using Ortin's pretty much as is at the moment. Like it alot.

I use this for my cleric with a few additions. I added the timer and maps into the UI. Anyone know how to edit this UI to get the name of the spell in the buff box? |

Its telling me to load the default UI cause there are files that are incompatable. using the 2.5 UI.

Same situation
I too am getting the uncompatable/missing files message telling me to load the defaul UI. It is just a minor prb for me since the UI and game still seem to be funtioning normally.
<edit> I reloaded the skin and restored the ini file for the toon. This corrected the problem i was having. |
fix
the unzip creats a folder in your target. i cut and paste the files to the on i created. works fine.
Can we get the UI set up for 1280X768 and put the buff names by the icons? |
