Does any one else have this problem
High alll,
I am currently experiencing a small problem, and was wondering if any others were having the same problem. When I zone in to PoK I can get dissconnected or after a small time there, I get a random freeze. I mean FREEZE so hard that I need to use task manager to log off my machine and relogin to get control of it. I have uninstalled EQ twice and reinstalled it. I have deleted eq and reinstalled , I've reinstalled DX9 three times , I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest video drivers from Nvidia three times. I have formatted the harddrive and reinstalled WinXP Pro and the game only and still no joy. Is any one else having this problem?
I dont think it is a hardware problem but I'll list my hardware and maybe some of you have an insite to the issue.
Maxxi tower case (ten exterior bays)
5 (yes I go overboard here) Fans
Harddrive coolers for the two harddrives
Abit IC7-G MAXII motherboard
P4 3.06 HT processor
1GIG DDR400 ram ( Kingston Technology's)
Nvidia TI4200 128meg ddr video card (agp 8X0
surround sound (on mb)
western digital harddrives about 59 gig worth
DVD drive and CDRW drives
oh and ofcourse a floppy
HELP PLEASE my toons are parked all over the place and im not getting groups due to I got to run the long way around Norrath,
Thanks in advance

Number 1: park your toons at LDoN camps and do LDoNs until the problem is fixed
Number 2: I freeze in PoK on occasion as well. For a while I thought it was my machine, until I hit ctrl-alt-delete while frozen and the task manager popped up.
Question: Do you use EQW?

If you go to the EQ website and go to the forums and go to the Tech Support forum you will see that a LOT of people have this problem.
The EQ website is here:

This is a problem that the EQ devs have acknowledged is their fault, although not everyone encounters this problem (I don't for instance). It'll be fixed soon.

In response
Much thanks,
I was starting to think that this was a serious problem on my end, its there's GOOD. I have spent to much on hardware to play this game as it is. I thank you all for the info, It's why I posted this here. You all seem to have a good grasp on what I dont know. In answer to What I was asked three responses ago, no I don't use EQW, as I understand there are issues with it and I'm using WinXP. But thanks I haddn't thought of that. I will be following the sony response, thanks for the link. And yes i will keep peeps posted on there response to my complaints ( I expect no real response from them tho).
