The patcher I had in mind needs EQ coding, not just XML..

But anywhere here was my post on this, its several months old FYI:

Here is an idea I am working on that I would like to soon send out to the Devs. It is not completed yet, but this is to give you an idea.

Q. Why am I working on this?

A. Because each time we get a patch, it is hard to notice the files being downloaded since it has a bad wrap-around and also hard to read a long news session. Plus, having a LIVE server status on the patcher without having to "Refresh" the site (or ping refresh someone else's).

I would like to see the EULA on a normal Windows Dialog Box instead of the EQ 640x480 screenmode. This way we can save ourselves from the "cursor problem". Then after you hit accept, it starts the patcher normally.

Of course, this isnt a "real" patcher, just drawn to give an idea.

Do like the quick login to your last server but would like to see a favorite login for a given character or even last character played. Make some of these LD's less painful.

I got the same thing... But I went into my patchers options and filled in the empty check box for my PoP expansion and that message went away... well for me at least it did. It seems to think if you don't have your patcher checking your expansions for patches, that you are missing some. Go fig...

Nanite A Bat Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 1	Would you like to Pre-Order OoW? Simple gaff or cunning ploy? The pop-up screen asking if you want to order expansion used to have 2 buttons on the bottom. The left one was for ordering it, the right one was to decline and order later. When this new login went live, the same pop-up screen came up. But now the buttons had reversed positions. After developing the habit of clicking the lower right button to NOT order OoW, I very nearly clicked the OK button this time around. I would have been very sore if I had ordered OoW.
