I was wondering if anyone had a hot bar file that had horizontal hotbars for HB 3 and 4. I want to keep 1 and 2 the way they are because there integrated into quartz. but 3 and 4 are the default vertical hotbars. I tried copying 3 and 4 from another persons hotbar mod but it didnt work( im not too good with modifying ui files :P) Quartz wouldnt even load.
Has anyone done this?

Yeah I redid hotbars 3 and 4 to sit right above the main chat area, they're horizontal with arrows moved and resized. I'll try to get ahold of the files and post a link. They're on my main computer which is not with me right now.

While this is nice, you totally skirted the 2.3.0 release. It looks like you went from v1.9 to your own version of v2.0.
We have had a different v2.0, v2.1, v2.2 and now a v2.3.
Unforunately your v2.0 has none of the stuff done in v2.3.
I would have liked to update the main page, but I cannot, since DarkSir still has the keys and seems to have all but disappeared for the last 2 years.
In any case, folks might want to consider this as a something more like a v1.9.3, since the main trunk has been moving for sometime now.
Here is the release history from v2.3.0:
Quote:
---------------
Update History:
---------------
v2.3
* Updated Layout files for 9/5/2007 patch
* Split Animations.xml file for hardcoded bug in BuffWindow
* Removed outdated Target Ringsets. Added Vibrant ringset.
* Added back old casting bar option (see Layout images)
* Updated all Layout images to display options
v2.2
* XML overhaul to mergeback as close to 'default' files as possible. Should
make it easier to maintain future patches.
* Moved old spell icons into OldIcons folder
* Moved untested Mods into Untested-Mods folder
* Moved tested Mods into Tested-Mods folder
* Removed some files that were duplicates of default
* Added some 3D Target Ringsets
* Updated/Added Layouts
v2.1
* Added fixes from Wansfall at eqinterface.com.
v2.0
* Removed reliance on default_old directory.
* Added Installer application.
* Finished Prophecy of Ro compatibility (Aura Window and Blocked Buff Windows)
* Cleaned up the template for installing. Most of UI should be autoconfigured by
installer.
v1.9.2
* Fixed missing file problem in 1.9.1 archive.
* Added seaxouri's 16 Quick Clicks mod.
v1.9.1
* Fix for 2/21/06 EQ Patch (Prophecy of Ro expansion).
* Added expanded Bank Windows.
* Added multiple Hotkeys (finally).
* Minor updates to the background files.

This is one of the problems with this site. Once there is an owner, its near impossible to transfer ownership without the blessing of the old owner. On sourceforge, if there is no activity from an owner for a period of time, you can request ownership of a project, or at least co-ownership. I have tried in the past to get the keys to this project but been unsuccessful. At one point DarkSir offered me the keys, and I accepted, but never got them.

2.3 gives me UI errors when running it. Hence I had to revert.

No, that file was in v2.3.0:

I'm not sure what chicken13's errors were, but usually its because it was not installed properly. I've installed it on several machines with no problems.
If you have a problem, post what the error is and I can look at it. Look for the UIErrors.txt file in the EQ folder, and cut/paste the contents here.
v1.9 should have tons of errors and missing lots of windows in any expansion over the last 2 years.
For me, v2.3.0 has been working great on all my boxes. I updated the spell gem patch and things are fine. If you want the latest Animations-default, its here. The spell patch is a few posts up.

Just to chime in here ... I'm using v 2.3 and have no errors. I did, however download the horizontal hot bars from chicken's post (thanks for those mate!).
There shouldn't be a problem with 2.3 except for the animations file (unless that somehow was updated and I missed it). I did the fix a few posts back and have had no problems.

Seaxouri: I requested for you to be given access to the main download, but guess that didn't happen. If you want to email me the file and the release notes, I'll be happy to post them.

I'll put together a 2.3.1 over the next few days.
I'll add in Chicken's new stuff, the fixes, and I have one additional tweak I want to add.
Thanks Darksir. Good to see you pop in here every now and again!

I'm still around, even if I'm quiet. Just hard to do anything without any real access to EQ.

I bought a new laptop so I'm having to set up Quartz again (I was stupid and didn't copy over my old files), but I can't get the animations file you posted to work. I'm still getting pearl necklaces on dwerium jewelry, tbs items, and tradeskill trophys. Any ideas? I downloaded and installed to my quartz directory with no luck.
EDIT: nm I got it to work, but it created a new issue. The version you're posting has different guages then the ones I use (there was a post about this 3 or 4 pages back) and now my guages are messed up. I'm going to keep working on this, but maybe when you post the new zip, can you include the old guages as a mod?
EDIT AGAIN: I went back and found your post about using the old guages with your mods. But I know it's possible to use the regular gauges and still not have the pearl necklace thing (mainly because that's how I had it). I'll have to keep digging then and find out what the heck I did.
LAST EDIT (I HOPE): Figured it out ... I downloaded the 2.0 patch that Brighid741 posted and copyed over his Animations file and added the new items back in. Works like a champ now.

Yeah, I really don't care for the new guages either. But I'd rather have a working UI, than one that's flaky, hence I never bothered trying to change them back.
Anyway. Thanks all for all your hard work.. God knows I cant do any of this stuff.
